Sorry to change the subject...but this means I can do all the stupid shit in the world I want to and at 22, it all goes away as long as I dont want to do anything Federal?
Laws are different for different states, in Florida the juvenile record becomes 'sealed' once you are 18.
Now, that does not make it go away though. This only means that if you are applying for a job you do not have to say 'yes' to the question of ever having been convicted of any crimes.
Drug charges will always come back on you, especially for a military or federal position. They will see those charges, as any position will require a substantial background check. If they are not felonies, and you have one hell of an explanation and can prove you are no longer a drug abuser, then you
might have a chance.
Also, you will endure a polygraph test for any of those kinds of occupations, questions relating to how you live your life. They
will ask if you have smoked marijuana, done cocaine, etc. They will want to know how often, for what period of time, and most importantly 'why'. And if they feel that you lied on any drug questions, especially with the history, you will not get the job.
It's hard man, but if you truely changed and can stay that way then you should persue whatever job you feel you would enjoy.
