Is My Amp Working?

i had a jbl gto 12 on a rockford mono. 400watts @ 2ohms. i played the sub on high volumes and the excursion gave way. now when u push the sub it does not move on the suspension it is stiff. so the installer says the sub needs to change. think i did not let the sub break in properly and played it hard too soon. my question is when the sub/ bass went. the amp was connected to the sub 20 mins during the sub being damaged. my amp still comes on wit the deck. im purchasing a rockford p3 sub to replace the jbl wit. is my amp working sice it comes on and not in protection mode? i disconnected the speaker wire from the box.....sine the bass amp still comes on is it fine and not blown or badly damaged? thanx for responses

i dont see why not.

and i think a DMM could answer your question.

i have a nice soundstream t5 12 that will kill all that low line crap and way better sq. 160 shipped to ur door.

if not get dd and not that other crap
