Is my amp toasted?

This is a stupid noobie mistake. I think I have fried the amp for good. I'm feeling fukin' horrible and stupid right now. I have a MA Audio M1280i 300watts RMS per channel 2-channel amp. I tried to connect this amp to my sub in bridged mode. Connectors look like this

Ch1 Ch2

+ - + -

|_____|

bridged

I used a single wire and connect the right + to the left -, then left - and right + to my sub. I don't know what I was thinking. But the green power lights went on for 2 seconds then off, and the red protect light was on, blinking for about 2 seconds. Now both of them are off when I turn on my deck. My question is: Is my amp fried? How much does it cost to fix this kind of mess? Thanks.

first of all, make sure you amp is bridgeable. check your fuses first. if the fuse are fine, bridge the amp correctly and try again. to bridge an amp, check your manual. if your sub is a dvc sub, make sure the overall ohm rating is within the limits of the amp.

if your amp is fried it is almost cheaper to buy a new one. If there is not a warrenty sticker on the back of the amp take off the cover and look are all the resistors, and see if there are any of them that are black. Look at the board and see if it is black in areas. If you fried something is usually smells horriable.
