is my amp performing up to its potential?

im just wondering if anyong got any improved performance from their setup after doing upgrades.

so it means absolutely nothing that my lights are dimming at 1-3 of the vol up?

Do the big 3 it should help some with dimming, but it will not make anything louder..

Ill tell you what. your nuts if your looking for punch in the face at 1000 watts in a prefab. Shoulda gone aq for 1000 dollars less

ok but ill have you know that my JL is 1000w peak rms handling. so why wont it hit as hard as possible with this amp? not many amps can do 1000w rms at 3 ohms or am i wrong? WILL I SEE an improvement from any upgrades IS MY QUESTION?

and yes your voltage drops should not be as sever...Thats about it

If your lights are dimming, you have voltage issues. Do the big 3 and/or buy a nice dry cell battery. It might not make your sub louder, but it'll more than likely take care of the dimming issue...

Ok, so you say it's loud but doesnt rip your face off?

1) What kind of box and where did you get it?

2) give it some break in time, it is still very stiff and will get louder/lower over time.

with that amp, cause its good quality jl, you will get your 1k watts rms oiut of it down to 11 volts. Meaning if you dont ever dip below 11 volts, which i hope you wouldn't ever, you will always see the 1000 watts out of that amp. So the only thing that would make it louder is the box it is in.

It would have to be homemade, or custom built, People here build them, Some would even hook you up with ideal dimensions. If your sub is in a store bought box now and are pretty happy with it. You will be amazed in a custom box for your sub.
