Well, I have JL Audio 500/1 Amp, running 2 10' subs.
The amp was working great, until it all of a sudden went kapoots on me, and stopped fully working. I got a wierd groggy bass coming from the subs when the beats hit...
Anyways, I checked all the wiring and volts and waht not, and no success. The subs work on another amp, but not this one.
So in my last attemp, I took this amp out, and took off the cover of it, to see if I could see anything...(what I am looking for I do not know.
Non the less, the thing has a faint smell of burnt electronics... which leads me to believe that I might have blown my amp..
My question for you is... if it is blown, what could have cause it? And also, since this is an 800$ amp, are there places that repair them? Or is it time for a new one?
