Is kicker any good??

I plan on running an Eclipse CD8455 HU and some Seas Lotus Reference 2 ways up in front...and I plan on running an Active setup so I need to get a 4 channel Amp. Now the Reference series is 100 RMS and I would like to get a 100x4@4 ohms amp.

Kick has a 100x4 amp...exactly what i need...but i've always been taught and thought myself that Kicker was always ....eh....kind of not all that good.

what do you guys think about the kicker amps? Also, what it be good to run a kicker with an Eclipse HU and a set of the lotus reference speakers.

kicker amps for the most part are great just stay away from the kx ones

And kicker actualy has made some of the better amps out like the zr line up along with the xs and the si's those were all wonderful amps. I am running the new series of the SX amps and its digital I like it.

whats wrong with the kx kickers. btw the 800.4 ROCKS there is one in the classifieds for sale too. Kicker is very nice equipment. All the amps i've owned are underratted

blunt from talks with people that compete the kx 1200s had a hard time doing 1100 at 17volts. That should tell u how good the kx line up was.

I have kx800.4 no problem at all for 2 years.

i have a 600.1 which is the more efficent than my old 500/1 and a very powerful amp, what the bad words about the Kx line.

Kicker amps are very good. Ive heard a few KX2500.1 and KX1200.1 off of L7s and CVRs in simple sealed boxes and they still got very loud

well I'm just looking for a really good SQ Clean amp. I don't want to get some crap amp and run them with my Lotus Reference 2ways. That would a not so good idea.

seeing as most kickers are underrated (benchwise) by a couple hundred watts. and by 50 or so on a/b amps.

geee, my KX650.4 and my KX200.2 both do over rated power....

I know for a fact that the KX2500.1 is *under rated*. It does 2,000rms with just 12v and with 14v it will do 2,500rms. Upgrade to a 250alt and good battery and you may expect 2,700rms out of it.
