Have the option to buy a Gen 1 Hifonics XX Colossus for $300. only thing is its broken. its only been used once and has been broken since it was bought. CIE says it will cost around $140 to fix. Is it worth it to buy it? is it a good amp power rating wise?

No...it's not worth it. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $150 - $175 for it. $200 TOPS!! Think about it...you don't know exactly how much it's gonna cost to fix it, plus you gotta pay for shipping. AND - YOU have the hassle of shipping and waiting and setting up the repair (phone calls, emails, etc.) - Food for thought.

CIE said it was a problem with the power supply. it was bought 2 years ago...tried to work but didnt and then stored until now. so it hasnt repeatedly broken it just..hasnt ever been fixed
