Is it worth it to go active?

actually i'm gonna be getting some silver flute 6.5's from my brother , he says they sound like ish. Yet he has them IB , on adapter plates , and no deadener. LOL. They will be in sealed pods when i install them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
sounds nice, though the idea of running speakers in pods just doesn't motivate me to use them lol

You guys have any suggestions on some passive set ups then? In case I get lazy and dont run active. I guess even some active set ups... Thanks for the link to the amp, may just do that.

lol, that *****. I tried to make pods before, major fail. Just glad shit fits in my door

i recently heard some DLS mids and tweets running on ppi art amps and wasn't really impressed with them. Sorry J. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif seems like a lot of money for something that didnt really blow me away.

get you a nice 4 chanel that has a crossover that can hp and lp up to 4k and look into vifa tweeters , and there are all kinds of good midbass out there. i really like the vifa tweets. good sound great price and mine are rated 50 watts , but they take 100 daily crossed at 2.5k 24/db slope

Ok, I was maybe gonna pick up one of those crescendo 1000c4, you know if they will do it? But that seems like its gonna be a bit more amp then I need. Lol.

Im not on a huge budget. Lol. But thanks for all the help. I was thinking these tweets... PAIR OF VIFA NE19VTS-04 SILK DOME NEODYMIUM TWEETERS | eBay
And then still wasnt sure on the woofer... Ill look at the site you linked me to.
Huh? what do you mean by not being on a huge budget? I linked you to some pretty cheap stuff?

I can't vouch for the mids, I only linked them because Aurasound does make some decent stuff and that's about as good a price as it can get. However, I can vouch for the tweets as I had a pair of the square frame one and they sound really nice.

Sorry, wording was wrong. I am not on a skinny budget. As in a dont gotta save a lot of money. I am willing to drop probably 400 on a front stage and 200 on an amp. Just to kinda give you an idea. Sorry for the miscommunication. But I am having fun looking through the site you sent me to.
