I was lookin at WINISD PRO and it said i would hit a max SPL around 170Hz. Is that too high or what?
WinISD is a software used to help with enclosure size for sealed and ported enclosures for any sub. What is a winisd pro?3db.
Theoretically.WinISD is a software used to help with enclosure size for sealed and ported enclosures for any sub.
It also tells you when you will hit max SPL when tuned to a certain frequency.
Anything over 100 Hz for a subwoofer setup is way too high. Most SPL meters won't even pick up SPL at frequencies over 100 Hz. The way to get a lower peak is to tune your box WAY lower, by making the port(s) longer. Are you going primarily for SPL or do you want any SQ as well? I would tune around 45-55 for pure SPL and 37-44 for a mix of SQ and SPL.i know what and how to gain dBs. Ill restate the qustion, sry for the bad posts above. Im looking at a graph in a program WINISD Pro and a graph that measures spl reads that to hit 147 dB i will need to play a 150Hz note. so how do i lower the Hz and keep the dB up while doing so?
