Is it the box?

I have a question, but first I'll tell you my setup:

2 - Pyramid 1000w 12"s

1000w Sony Xplod Amp

Pioneer Premier 740 Deck

And all this is in a '92 GMC sierra extended cab. I really am kind of dissapointed with the sound coming from the current setup, I wanted deeper, louder base that'd bust my windows but I'm getting crappy base. Will changing my box from a ported to a sealed or bandpass change the base? Is the small space of the truck the problem?

u can try a dif box, but it may just be the subs or the how u have the cross over set. i would check the cross over and make sure it is not set to full or flat and check the box to make sure it isnt leaking air. if it still sounds bad try replacing the subs with a diff. brand and see if it sounds any better.

Check to make sure the box doesnt have any leaks and make sure that the subs arent blown. Also, you may want to try a new box - ported. If all that fails....and you still arent happy, go get some nice new subs

Personally, id change the woofers.

Try the IDQ 12's.

My buddy tells me that they always get them Xplode amps returned to them at Best Buy also.
