Is it the box or the sub?? Volume won't go higher... Is the port just too long?

What do you mean? The port from the picture is 36.5" long so that's how long it is to get a tunning of like 29-30hz

Sub's a POS. Havent i emphasized that enough? Weak motor, heavy cone, a bunch of useless plastic and metal on the basket to give the illusion that its heavy but its a tiny weak magnet thats less than half the size of a sundown magnet. When you have a weak magnet and heavy cone/soft parts it leads to bad efficiency aka junk loudness capabilities.

I got two pioneer spl3000 12s in my wife's car and they hammer. Depends what exact model woofe he has

I'm going to look at ground and will beef up alternator cables and go from there , I didn't hit 10 but did hit 10.8 which is low I suppose

Op I googled pioneer champ woofer and is it the ones that like $98? Cuz that woofer is not going to give you the output your looking for

10.8v your amp is crying for help lol. It takes power to make power. Amp isn't going to make power of u feed it 10v

pioneer spls are in a different league, in fact several leagues above. I'd compare this particular pioneer sub to boss phantoms if you need a proper comparison.

Yeah thats the sub and I'm aware that it's not top of the line but at the moment that is what I have in my daily car so I want to get it to optimal performance.

Yea it's the woofer... I've had two kenwood tornados 12s hooked up to a crossfire 8k. They would hit a point and not get any louder no matter how much power I put to then. Same thing is happening to your pioneer I bet.

I could believe this but I still wonder if the voltage drop had anything to do with it ?
