Is it OK to add a 2nd sub down the road?

I'm working on setting up a Fi Q12, and a small part of my decision to go that direction with my system is the idea that a long ways down the road I could add a 2nd 12" for fun.

In my reading I saw someone raise concern about pairing a new sub with a broken in sub. If the new sub gets appropriately broken in is there still any concern about the two subs working together?
