That's why I think you and Geoff just need to get together and create a pricing/specs thread. Everyone knows the site is set up like most audiophile manufacturers' sites.

And for the record, I got my Rainbows at a steal when I was in Hawaii. Floor model SLC comps for 125 with install (I was an install noob at the time). Got the matching coax for 80 a couple weeks later.

We have our lists but we can not disclose them on an open forum... They arent bad at all until you start to get into the upper models like the AF pros or FB competition but even those are less for the whole set then HAT mids lol

Lol you mean like the L6SE? Yeah' date=' can't justify $1K for a set of mids.

Ya our highest lines for the entire set arent even that price lol... We are trying to get it worked out and make them realize if you dont have a presence on forums you are going to go no where in the the states...

Well, nowhere with those who aren't familiar with Italian engineering. I believe you guys have a great product, but knowing my finances, I'm a good ways off before I can start making recreational audio purchases again.

There's a hole in your logic, prince. I know you can find JL cheaper on the used market. Same with all the brands I mentioned. JL has a couple things going for them, I'll give you that. The W6 and marketing. Don't say the W7 because that is literally one of the most temperamental subs I've ever had to tune for friends. I wouldn't own one after those experiences.

That same HD amp is on sonic for less than MAP iirc and they will warranty it

And at that price, which is what any sensible person will pay, I'll put it against anything similarly priced! Zuki included

If we're talking true sq, I doubt most people in the professional circuit would recommend JL, either. Genesis, Hybrid, PHD, and a few others maybe.

Doesn't matter what they would recommend.

JL users have just as many if not more SQ trophies compared to those companies.

Whose to say that their product is any less than the competition?

Are you on DIYMA? I'd convince bikinpunk to break out his stuff and put them through their paces. He's good with his Klippel on the speaker end, I'm sure he'll give the same consideration to some amps.

My issue comes in with people who say that there's sooooo much better than JL for soooooo much cheaper and in most if not all cases that is simply not true.

It's ok to help a newb view other options in comparison to JL; not ok to tell a newb JL is completely not worth the money and to disregard because that is false and bad advice.

Ok, I get it. And I thought that's the thought that I was trying to put forward. I'm not talking down JL for anything more than the fact they charge much more than similar competitors' products. I do think they spread themselves too thin, though. Do they really need four different lines of amplifiers ATM?

Each amp serves a different purpose and or has different technology for its price point.

Also makes for Better fits to different installs/circumstances

I agree with this. Just remember there's three sides in this camp:

1. The JL nuthuggers who will talk down anything that's not stamped with those two letters, regardless of what proof is put in their face

2. The anti-JL extremists who this JL is nothing but overpriced garbage

3. Everyone else who just realizes that they overcharge and, sometimes, unnecessarily so.
