Lol I'm kinda fanning the troll flames a bit. I used to run a 300/4 and 500/1 in an old car with some Rainbow SLC comps and a 12W3. The slash series were all V1 and the W3 a v2. All on stock electrical. Sounded so great, especially with an Eclipse CD5000 for HU.

I've heard they're extremely similar. The advantage goes both ways: Zed if you need a sixth channel and more headroom or JL if you need a smaller footprint.

Are you on DIYMA? I'd convince bikinpunk to break out his stuff and put them through their paces. He's good with his Klippel on the speaker end, I'm sure he'll give the same consideration to some amps.

i like jl shop around my way think they r gods of subs.in nj ,phila craigslist jl stuff is pretty cheap **** right now theres a 12w7 for 300

JL makes good equipment - I'll give them that. Do they make the best? No. Do they have prices like they think they're the best? Yes.

Also here's a point to think about: SQ is only important if there's an audible difference. And as Buck stated earlier, SQ can't exceed the quality of the originally recorded material
