Is it alpha to blast your system in public?

Define "residential neighborhoods" sir
Come on, bro. Let's not split hairs here.

All I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't be cruising around in family oriented neighborhoods blasting music. It can be aggrivating for people who have small children and stuff. I know I don't appreciate trying to sleep at 5:00am and suddenly a douchebag drives by blasting his Lil Wayne. It's not difficult to show at least a moderate level of respect for the people around you...

x2. Kids nowadays don't have respect for shits.

what about in a wal mart parking lot?
That's not so bad, but it's generally easy to find somewhere less "populated". When I was a teenager, we'd take our vehicles to the top of abandoned mountain top removal/strip mines to test out our systems. You can get as loud & rowdy as you like at a place like that...

My neighborhood is different than yours, bro.

I live in the suburbs, bro. In my area, there are small subdivisions that are connected by a venue of larger roads.....since technically my entire city is a "residential area" since it is suburbia, does that mean I am disrespectful by playing my music when I'm cruising down the 50 mph main road that I get on when I leave my subdivision? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Edit: I wouldn't EVER drive through a subdivision playing my music

Right. I'm not saying you should completely turn your music off when you're around a bunch of people, but it's not a big deal to bump it down a little until you're in a less populated area. Believe it or not, there are a lot of "church going" or conservative people who get offended by "vulgar" lyrics. I personally think these types of people are too sensitive, but that doesn't mean their feelings shouldn't be taken into consideration.

It's not uncommon for most people to dislike Jehovah's Witnesses randomly stopping by their homes to preach. Some people may feel that your loud *** system is aggrivating on that level...

I've spent my fair share of time in densely populated areas, man. After all, my family is from Chicago. I realize that you don't have humongous abandoned mine sites and things like that in your area, but I'm quite sure there are abandoned warehouses/factories here and there. Those types of places are perfect for "tweaking" your system, or giving demos for people.

And no, I don't think there's anything wrong with playing your music on "main roads". I'm basically referring to residentail neighborhoods, man. The type of places that're family oriented and have lower speed limits. If your system is obscenely loud, and you're on a heavily populated street with a 15-25 mph speed limit, your "bass" could aggrivate people for a somewhat prolonged period of time. At 50+ mph, the sound doesn't really last long enough to be all that bothersome.

The type of people that'll bitch about hearing your system for 5 to 10 seconds are just being assholes for the sake of being assholes...

Okay, just wanted to clear that up...

And no big abandoned places here, but expansive parking lots do the trick for tweaking stuff...

That'll work just fine. When I was initially messing with my friend's Lvl 4 15", I used the local Food City parking lot...after the store closed for the evening. That didn't bother anyone. In fact, their security guy came over to chit chat and have a listen for himself...
