is/isn't milk bad for you..?

This is weird. My friend and I were having this convo too, except he was pro Soy Milk vs. me pro regular Milk.

My friend is a pussy though because he's lactose intolerant. I won the argument by default.

i found myself in a debate with my friend today about whether milk is bad for you.
I myself am pro milk. lol, originally he told me the pasteurization process adds hormones to milk, which i then proved him wrong. but, i do know they add hormones to increase vitamins and nutrients, at the same time the hormones they add adversely affect acne..

what is your input/knowledge, and don't flame by saying, "your friend is a moron" because he is right in the fact that in the pasteurization process it converts calcium into a form that is much harder for the body to process..

go.
milk is the shit. tons of protein. and its long digesting protein at that. one of the best things for you if you are body building IMO

People who don't drink milk as a child can form bone deformities when they grow. Goat's milk doesn't have enough calcium we need on a daily basis. Cows FTW.

milk makes me constipated... So yes, it is bad!

I just went on a milk drinking binge.. Never really been into, but for the last two weeks I have been drinking milk like crazy, but now no longer feel the urge.

dont that have estrogen in it?

and milk is great, but i herd the hormones are bad for you bcause they are for cows not for humans like how ur not supposed to give milk to any of ur animals

I'm 22 and I've been drinking around a half a gallon of milk a day since I was very young. I used to drink a gallon a day growing up....... I was the kid who would come in from playing and start chugging on milk instead of water juice ect.... but with the exception of being overweight (runs in the family plus I eat bad but I guess the milk doesn't help) I've been extremely healthy my whole life. I've only been sick two or three times in my life. Never broke a bone until last year when I got a boxer's fracture from punching a brick wall as hard as I could. Only one cavity with not so perfect brushing record. Good blood pressure. Not bad cholesterol. Really I have to contribute all this to milk. Its the only and I mean ONLY healthy thing I've consistently ate/drank in my life.

I've heard too much can cause kidney stones or a calcium buildup in your kidney's. Anyone know of this?

I try to drink at least 2 glasses a day, usually drink it more then juice/water. Never broken a bone in my body.

dude im just like u, lol. i would drink about a gallon a day when i was younger. i sky rocketed from a normal sized kid to about 6'4 300lbs by mid highschool. of course some is genetics but i know the milk played a big role. my **** bones are way bigger than a normal persons. theyre strong as hell. only break ive ever had is when i tripped and landed with all my body weight onto my pinky and ring finger...and all they did was get a minor fracture lol. never really brushed my teeth at all and only had a handful of cavities up to that point. then in college out of nowhere i just stopped drinking milk. didnt really notice too much of a difference except my teeth started falling out like mexicans in a life raft off the coast of the US //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif well none literally fell out but i got a shitton of cavities and had 2 root canals. back to drinkin lots of milk now that im body building and all is good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i think its pretty hard to ingest enough calcium for it to be problematic. your body can only process so much at a time the rest is just excreted.
