is fedex shipping on delay?

does anybody know if fedex shipping is being backed up because of the hurricane?

i paid for a hu on the 23rd and the dude said he sent it out on the 24th..fedex ground.

when i asked the guy for the tracking number..he told me that it's in his truck and that it is raining too hard to get it then. A few days pasted and i finally got another e-mail saying that he was out of town because of a family emergency...guessing because of the hurricane, but he said he'll get it to me in the morning..which i didn't get a e-mail back yet.

The guy is from georgia..and i'm in texas...i did a transit time from new york to texas and it only takes 4 business days. So it should've been here on monday.

I don't want to make it a big deal yet because i'm not sure if the hurricane is delaying a lot of shipping companies...but i've been jipped $250 before..and i'm not about to lose $260...

not really sure what i should do as of now...

ok i think the guy is scamming me. I just gave fedex a call and asked them if they're having any shipping delays from georgia. The guy ran a search for all shipments that are coming to my house. He said there is only one package from RE audio which i placed a order for a sub 2 weeks ago. hopefully paypal is able to recover the money..i paid through paypal using a debit card..

scared me for a second there because i just currently bought a 15" from a company on aug 30th in ILLINOIS and should be here tomorrow ( sept 1 ) . i thought i was gonna have a shipment deley. phew...

i put the wrong state. he is from georgia.

But even though fedex is delayed. The fedex rep i talked to told me there is no package being shipped to me in their database. I just finished talking to a paypal rep and filed a claim. I'll be going to talk to my personal banker tomorrow to see if he is able to reverse any money back into my checking account.

this really sucks..the rest of the stuff for my system is coming in on saturday...and the only thing i'll be missing is the hu..
