When first powered on the power light came on for a second and went out. But the cooling fan stayed on. On the second attempt the protect light came on for a second and went out. The fan came on and stayed on again until powered down.

What do you have hooked up to it? What amp are you using?

db okur 800.1 basically i'm going to buy it broke i figure i seek tha gods first to get a quicker diagnosis but i didn't realize the person didn't get into detail on how they hooked it up i know it''s not smart but 40 bucks for a project for me to learn i'll do it so that's why i'm seeking the gods what do u think it is jus with the evidence provided

Did you open it up and check the guts? Could be many things.

Start off by checking the fuses.. Check your ground and make sure you have a good connection.. if neither of those work open it up and look at the guts

yeah i think it might be the fuse because i looked at the pictures and it's 2 15 fuse in their but in the manual the amp takes 2 30 fuses so i think i'ma grab it maybe that's all that's wrong if not i'll tinker and research, jus for hobby and learning the amplifier and continue to seek tha gods to get it working jus so if i put to 15 amp fuses and it takes 2 30 what happened in there

check your grounds..those amps need a solid ground

Make sure your ground is in contact with direct metal, you may have it on painted metal and it is not a good connection. Grind through the paint to bare metal on your grounds if necessary.
