i dont know if i could get used to driving standard with my
hand. i think that would be hard as hell.
The hardest thing (to me) about getting used to driving a right-hand-drive car (on the left side of the road!) was having my right arm against a door whereas I am accostomed to open space on my right.
My brother-in-law has a Ford Telstar (exact same thing as a Mazda 626) that is a manual ******......he got hammered one night while I was overseas and I had to drive his car for him to get him and the car home.
It felt a bit odd right at first shifting with my left hand but as the pedals are all where they are supposed to be (from left to right it's still clutch, brake, gas) it doesn't take as much getting used to as one might think.
It's getting prepared mentally (after driving for years on the right side of the road) to pull out of a parking lot and stay left that takes the most getting used to!
