is a low pass filter slope on amp the same slope as subsonic filter ?

if my amp is 24db/octave of low pass filter is my ssf slope 24db/octave also? because my subs half 12db/octave rolloff. so shouldnt the ssf slope be 12db/octave?

or some amps have different both the slope of low pass filter and ssf? and some have the same? or its always the same?

sorry i misread teh question completely. But yeah, often times amps have a higher slope on the SSF than they do on the high/low pass filters.

I would say that it would be likely, but not always the case.

So my answer to your question is "most likely, but it depends on the filters used in the amplifier/crossover."

For example:

My JL 1000v2/1 has a low frequency filter slope of 24db, but the low pass slope is selectable between 12db and 24db.

However my Audio Control DQXS has a 24db slope on both the low frequency and low pass filters.

I would think that most low frequency filters are a 24db slope on possibly all but the cheapest amps due to the nature of what is needed in a low frequency filter.

What amp are you talking about?

Very little Googling and I find an example of an amp with a 24db low pass filter and a 12db low frequency filter:

Note that the low frequency filter is 12db AND it is hard set at 15hz, which, to me, seems to give very little benefit anyway.

Just an example of a cheap amp that uses different filter slopes...
