Getting loud and low with 400w

I currently have a single sealed ID 12 running of the bridged ch5+6 of a D-6.1200.

It sounds good but I want something that can hit the low 25-30hz region better.

Right now I'm thinking ported 15 tuned around 28hz. A Rockford P1 or even JL 15WOv3. I just want the best possible low end with the 400w I have to work with.

Any other ideas or thoughts?

Ported 15 should do the trick. Don't care for either of those subs though. Maybe a Incriminator Level 1 or Dayton Reference. NVX makes decent entry level subs.

Way back in the day I had two 15" Kicker XPL subs (bought them from someone on this forum) run off of a Orion HCCA225 in a 2001 Blazer and it would make the dash and windsheild flex pretty good for 400 watts and a sealed box.

You could go old school with a peavey woofer type build...I thought those were cool as hell back in the day

Forgot to add it's 400w @ 4 ohms.

Also, forgot to add I mysteriously found a single 15 SEALED box in my attic. It's about 3.7 cu/ft internal. Looks like the Dayton 15 would work well with this space..

I don't think I possess the time or knowledge to build a t line lol. It's an SUV.

The basics are actually really easy. You just take the net Sd of the woofer(s), make that the port area (or make it some % over), find the wavelength you wanna tune at, divide that by 4 (1/4 wave), and that’s the line. So say you have 120 in^2 of Sd, then make that port area @ 1/4 of the length of the tuning wavelength, and that’s a t-line.

A sub that comes to mind that will go low, and won’t require a lot of power is the adire tempest 15.

How about putting th ID in ~2cuft ported and tuned to 28-32hz
