Okay i got a kx 1200.1 amp by kicker. Its a 1 ohm stable amp thats 1200w RMS x1. The subs im running are 2 kicker l7 15's. They are dual voice coil 4 ohmsubs. In wiring at 1 ohm and want to know if thats enough power. I also have a second 1200.1 kx that im not using right now. What would be the best way to get the most from both subs? 1 amp? 2 amps? Strapping 2 amps?

Omg really again. Dude you got like 7 threads open. Ask your question in one of those.
this, and sac //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif im gettin a solo x next week...yaaayy.

btw dud, just strap em and keep the gains down a bit and bass boost off, but remmber if you strap em the final load must be 2 ohms not 1

Oh ok i see. My first thought was to strap them and wire for a 2ohm final load. Then i tried wiring each sub individually to each amp(not strapped). Now, im thinking about wiring both to 1 amp for a 1ohm final load. The thing is that a couple shops told me to wire both to one amp, and others suggested that strapping wasnt really required, but now i dont know.

if 2 subs will wire to 1 ohm 1 of those subs will not. so pretty much you just run the one to both at 1 ohm, otherwise its just a waste. you need 2 dual 2 ohm subs to run the amps together

So would wiring them to one amp give me the most from my subs? Because i want to push the most power i can get while not blowing them. looking at the power, would this amp be enough for both? How much power am i really looking at? Would you reccomend i get a bigger amp instead? i dont quite understand the entire concept, so im curious. Thanks.

those subs are junk so dont try to give em to much power, ull just get clipping from the amp and blow em or just plain give them too much power, its not the gain of 300 watts that will make them louder its the righ box, 15" squares like that work best in like 4-6 cubes.

This is the box you might ( most likely ) have:

... And they actually do the job: I had (2) 15" Kicker L7 powered by a Diesel Audio NS-3000.1D
