Is 8 AWG enough for 2 amps?

Currently have an Alpine MRX-F-30 4 channel amp installed with 8 AGW. Am adding a 10" sub that will be powered by an Alpine MRX-F-50. Instead of runing a completely new 8 AGW wire I had thought about installing a power distibution block and then run the 8 AWG out to both amps. That would eliminate running another 8 AWG through the fire wall and will eliminate removing as much interior trim.

Thoughts?

One run of 8 gauge should be enough for 500 watts total realistically. If your fuse blows from over current than swap it out for a four awg run.
