Is 3 2.25" ports enough? sound good? single 15

Building a box for a bud right now and he just told me he wants to use EXTERNAL round ports, that have an inner diameter of 2.25"
This is for a single cadence wild beast 15" that will be getting about 1000watts.

The box is 2.75 cubes after sub displacement

I enterred the #'s in http://www.psp-inc.com/ that calculator and came up with 3 2.25" ports @ 9" length each gives me a 32-33hz tune

Hes only got 3 of these 2.25" tubes, which are 9" long each

Is my math correct and will that port be sufficient?
thats less than 12 sq. in of port for a 15" in almost 3 cubes:nono:

Box is already built, sub whole cut etc, cutting out a wall isnt really an option, would be easier to start over.

Im trying to squeeze a square port, but its gonne be TIGHT.

External polished ports just woulda been cooler

just tell him hes a dumbass for thinking those small *** ports would work. and order the right ones. well i guess you could goto the hardware store and just get some pvc pipe. well i guess you could use what he has then after he hears all the air whistling out of the ports. you can cut the holes bigger and do 3 4" holes with pvc pipe
