I am getting my quad cab dodge dakota sometime in the near future and already started making plans for the audio. I was thinking go all out with 2 06 15" L7s in about 12 cuft tuned to 32hz. Powering them with either 2 PA3000dbs or 2 soundstream picasso's. How loud can this setup get? I dont want to hit in the

150's with my daily driver. So if i could get some input it would be greatly appreciated. I am going to either get the 2 15s or now i am leaning toward just 1 L715 in a 6 cuft box tuned to 32hz. What do you guys think. Would 2 be too loud, i mean i know i can turn it down but still.

There is no such thing as to loud, in my vocabulary atleast. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I dnt know what your listenin habits are, but 2 15s in 12 cubes tuned to 32 hertz should be painful if properly setup. If its to much, cut it down.

"Too much" is easily eliminated by a simple lowering of the volume //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

If your other speakers cannot keep up with two 15s to your satisfaction you could always lower the gain setting on the bass amp to allow for more volume out of the frontstage/rearfill (if there is any) before the same "too much" is achieved by your substage.

i have heard things like loosing visibility when they hit at only half volume. I had my 2 12" L5s hitting to where i would loose visibility at full volume and that was PLENTY LOUD!!! 1 06 15" L7 6 cubes ported > 2 05 12" L5s 4cuft prefab ported?

yes i am not looking for painful i would like it to be louder than my current 1 12" 02 L7 but i dont know if i should or want to spend that much money for two when 1 will tickle my fancy.

I think i am going to buy one and set it up properly and if i want louder then go with 2.

What are some db number with 2 new 15" L7s?

Well i guess i got lucky or somthin becuase i had my 2 12" L5s in a prefab box tuned too high for my comfort and when it would hit those lower notes it would move so much air that i couldnt look at a street sign at read it no matter how close i was. I had about 4 or 5 people sit in my car and say wow i cant even see clearly. Other symptoms of extreme loudness i had was itchy nose, throat pain, and a lot of looks.
