Is 12guage wire good for wiring Alpine type-r subs?

uumm power/ground or speaker wire?..if speaker 12 G will be just fine..for power ide go with something alil bigger..myself went 1/0G..saves time for future upgrades

16awg is thinner than 14awg which is thinner than 12awg, as the awg goes down the thickness goes up, basically increasing the ammount of power it can transfer. People seem to think that you need thick ass wire for speakers, you dont though. 16awg will sufice for almost any case.
