I have a couple q's about those warranties... With the 1 year warranty if the alt. is replaced: 1- is the remaining warranty void, 2- the remaining warranty carry over to the new alt, or 3-is an additional year tacked on? Also on the lifetime warranty is it: 1- one replacement and you're done or 2- do you get free replacements for a lifetime, which would be cool but unlikely...

Please, no disrespect is intended towards Iraggi alternator, and this hypothetical illustration can be applied to ANY manufacturer. I am simply bringing up a point that I feel is important.

What if suddenly "the product" fails. Ignore the cause in this case, and focus on blame. Now, consider the following carefully. Basically, the way that a warranty is described, if a manufacturer wanted to, could blame it all on the end-user, and of course, if thats a problem, there is always the obligatory "its out of our control" scapegoat. Ensuring that all but the consumers arse is covered.

In either case, by simply reverting to that clause in such a situation, it really shows a lack of responsibility and accountability to the customer. To me personally, this isnt all that reassuring.

Now, I personally have read many reviews, horror stories, etc. for many different "product" manufacturers. I know the hoopla that ensues when a product goes bad/fails, and it has to be "RTM'ed"

I know this warranty in particular is just nothing but standard legal jargon. Maybe I am overreacting, since I would expect the manufacturer to do nothing less that than that which is honorable. But to be honest, I would expect Iraggi to be a little less, well,...(and how to put this nicely?).... "corporate".

I am not saying that you shouldnt purchase extended warranties, BY ALL MEANS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER IT, AND MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION!!!

Moral of the story:

Be cautious and aware of the terms and conditions of a manufacturers basic and extended warranties, and use that information to make an informed purchase.

Message to the staff of Iraggi Alternators and Dominick Iraggi: I strongly believe that this group buy presents a great opportunity for Iraggi not only to redeem itself from a past of....and lets be perfectly honest here...unperfect reputation, but to gain a large volume of good business, and a loyal fan/customer base which will stand by your products.

I firmly stand by my decision to purchase an Iraggi alternator because of fair prices, and high performance level. I also fully realize that you are running a business, and of course there are financial risks involved. However, and I feel I am speaking on behalf of everyone else here, we want to know...what is up with those crazy extended warranty terms???
