well i dont wanna cause them any problems. i dont mind paying full price anyway.
oh yeah by the way supa c just in case you were wondering (which you probably were'nt), i finally made some purchases. so far i have a pair of 12" XL's, HK-2X pwrd x-over, and the HK-1398 in my possession or on its way to my house. next paycheck i will have all of the necessary wiring from Knu Konceptz (high strand count). still looking for a box though, i want to find a good quality one over the net because I want all of my stuff sitting at my doorstep when i go back home in 2 weeks so I can begin installation immediately! I found a company that makes plexiglass boxes but they were $700-$800. I was gonna put a pair of XC's in that but I decided I wouldn't have enough green to buy everything I need had I gone with that box.
Dude, try to keep it somewhat on topic, if you got something to say to supa c, try a PM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif...

You have it all wrong, YOU have to e-mail THEM... bretharbison@comcast.net

ok this is what i dont get....

the whole addition $99 thing for a LIFE time warranty

everytime someone asks or i email them i get this as a response....

Lifetime Warranty / Exchange Program - $99.99

Alternator is warranted against manufacturer defects or failure for a period of twelve months. The first claim after 12 months is covered free of charge. Additional claims have a flat fee of $99.99.

Exchange Program

In the event you purchase a new vehicle your current Iraggi Alternator can be exchanged for a brand new model that directly fits your new vehicle. The first exchange for an equal or lesser value unit is covered free of charge. If the new unit exceeds original purchase price, the difference in value is charged.

Additional exchanges have a flat fee of $99.99. If the new unit is of lesser value, the difference is deducted from the flat fee. (Up to $99.99) If the new unit exceeds original purchase price, the difference in value is charged in addition to the flat fee.

now to me this looks like u spend the $99 n then after it breaks from the 12 months u get it fixed....but then if it breaks AGIAN u must pay them an addition $99

so whats the point in spending an addition $99??? y not wait till it breaks after the first 12 months n then spend the $100 so u save ur self till then....

im really interested in this..i will be buying 1 in the next week but im not sure bout this whole warranty thing... i dont wanna spend $400 instead of $300 n only get 1 time replacing... i mean that to me is like. o man 100 an alt... i can just save my money n buy a brand new one fromt hem n have another 12 months.... u get my point?

sorry to post on here... but ive went threw pm's to emails... n i still dont get it, can someone explain this shit to me but in actual ENGLISH instead of lawyer talk....

Basically the extended warranty covers the period after the one year limited warranty. Note that this one year warranty is only inclulded in the Amputator Series alternators, the Dominator alternators do not have an included warranty. If the alternator fails in some manner, they will replace it for free the first time. After that one year period is over, or you have already received one replacement from a previos claim, they will continue to replace any faulty alternators for only $99. If you were to purchase another alternator to replace the faulty one (after the one year limited warranty has expired), it would not be as low as $99, I can be positive of that. With the group buy discount, the extended warranty is only $75, and even if you do, God forbid, have to replace it a second time, its only $99, if combined its $174, which is still cheaper than a buying a new alt.

It is a wise investment since most alternators DO have a limited life span, just like any other part in your vehicle. Iraggi builds quality stuff, but its worth it to me just for the exchange program alone. With the exchange program, if you change vehicles, as I know a lot of us do often, you can swap your original alternator with one for your other vehicle for free, so long as it is an alternator of equal or lesser value.

Hope this clears things up, I posted a couple pages back about the warranty terms. If you have any more questions please email Dominick, dominick@tds.net

sheesh! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

so um let me ask yalls opinion on one more thingy here. im choosing between a dominator 180/75 and an amputator 180/110. the dom is $100 less than the ampu but would the dom's 75 idle not be good enough? I dont know exactly what my stock is, it says either 60 or 80 on the side, i cant see it that well. and would that 60 or 80 i see be the idle or max rating?

USMC, this thread is only here to post your intent to purchase as part of the Iraggi Alternator Group Buy THAT'S IT. Don't ask about alt availability here, thats what the email is for. Dont ask technical questions here, that is what the "Electrical help" section is for. You will have a much better chance of getting the answer you are looking for if you ask the right person, and post in the right place.

However ignorant you are to those details, I'll still answer your question.

More than likely, your stock alternator rating is 80A MAX. Now, to determine if you need the Dominator, which has an idle rating of 75A or the Amputator which has an idle rating of 110A, that is completely up to you, and your needs, and driving style.

If you drive slowly, or in the city with a lot of stop-and-go driving, get the Amputator, you will have more amperage available at a slower engine RPM. If you do a lot of highway driving, you should go with a Dominator alternator with a higher max rating than 180A (if one is available with a higher Max rating for your vehicle). However, you only need to make a decision based on idle RPM engine speed since both the alternators you listed have the same max rating.

Either alternator is an upgrade from the stock alternator, you would be perfectly fine with either. Depending on what your budget is, I would suggest the Amputator because of its higher idle amperage rating. Its a better investment, and the Amputator series also come with a 1 year warranty. Again, the decision is completely yours.

Now, I'll thank you once again to please keep it clean, and post in the right section next time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Do we have an updated count of the buyers who have actually paid?
As of 04/25/05 there are a total of 13 people that have sent payment and about 5 others that say they are planning to do so by 04/30/05.

For prices e-mail bretharbison@comcast.net with vehicle year, make, model and engine type also include your zip code for shipping cost.

Thanks, Iraggi Alternator
