i have videos on my ipod and they are not playing on my hu..the screen goes black, you hear the music but no video..anybody have this problem or am i missing something

i have the pioneer cable that plugs in my hu, usb and everything its like 20 bucks your saying i need something else how much is it

Could also be an issue with the type of encoding or CODECs used to make the video. Some videos use odd-ball codecs that standard media players can't decode without the codecs/plugin. You get sound but no video in Windows Media Player, for instance....

Try a sample video that comes with Windows and see if it will play with your HU. If it does, then you know the videos you download are using odd-ball codecs.
