ipod+itunes help needed

hey guys i got the ipod and when i put the disk in donwload itunes then try to start itunes up i get this pop up

itune has encountered a problem and needs too close we are sorry for the inconvience

why is it doing this it wont let me get itune on?

Delete the program and reinstall it.

that doesnt work ive done it many times already..i go to my computer click add/delete programs i delete it from there and then i go to my computer again and click drive c and delete itunes and ipod from there..any other suggestions..funny thing is it works on my brothers computer but i need it on mine.

try downloading itunes from Apple website...

i think its against me today..lol the apple site loads but when i click itunes on top it times out..lol
