iPod issue...?

Okay so lately I have been listening to CD's that I burned, but today I put those CD's onto my iTunes and synced my iPod. I noticed that now the music sounds terrible and I'm not sure why.

The music is ripped to iTunes in lossless format so I know it can't be that. I have a Pioneer Avic D-3 in my car. So basically what I am wondering is, is this a problem with all iPods on all decks and I just didn't notice it until I started listening to CD's again. Or do you think there is a problem with my deck or the cable, or maybe even the iPod itself.

are you using the dock connector or the headphone jack?

Does the HU have separate adjustments based on which input you use? Had one of those in the past and I had to set all the stuff up for each different input.

I have my iPod filled with Apple Lossless Format songs and it sounds exactly like the CD.

As asked above...how is it connected? Anything other than a direct connection from the bottom of the iPod will make it sound much worse...direct connect FTW

Let me get this right...you burned the CDs. In what format were the CDs written and what was the source material for them? If they began life as MP3s and then you burned them to an audio CD, which you then reconverted to Apple lossless, the double rip is the source of your problem.

Well they began life as real cd's and then were ripped to the pc with lossless.

The iPod is direct connect... but all songs on the iPod sound bad not just the ones that I just ripped???

so you are using the dock connection.. maybe its the deck its poo at processing it
