Ipod hook up for alpine 9847?

Ive got an alpine 9847, and just recently got an ipod. Id love to hook my ipod up to it, but i know with the age of the HU its more than just a cable. Im satisfied with the headunit how it is, so i dont really know if it would be worth switching to a new HU, or making this one fit my needs.

Hey, I googled it and am pretty sure its got the ai-net hookup, ya? I have the plug that goes into there and has RCAs for input of whatever you might want.

Huh?lol Sorry, im not sure what the ai-net hookup is.lol

I honestly got my headunit BEFORE i got my whole stereo, so i never really researched it.
