IPOD help please.

Hello. I have a jenson dvd headunit with the media module and I wanted to hook up my ipos. I was wondering does it have to be the jenson jlink or can it be another brand like alpine or something like that . Would that work. What exactly is taht cable called .I checked radio shack and di not see one. Any help would be appreciated.
