iPhone with alpine KCE-300BT, or Pioneer 9800BT

I've connected a friends iphone to my 9800 and it works for the phone part - i believe we got an error message on the phone when i tried to plug in my ipod adapter to the phone, something about wrong version.

I hope this helps.
