What exactly is the burr brown?

what else does the 880 have over the 7900? i wished the 880 had bluetooth for my phone!

Get the 980 or 9800. Both have the Burr Brown. The 980 has the Auto EQ like the 880 the 9800 doesn't.

to tell you the truth, I really don't like the colored screen. It looks cheap to me and just more of a distraction.

Is the 880 head and feet above the 790bt or 7900bt?

go to the website and look at the specs its not hard. The 880 can do WAY more than the 790bt. It can go active, has a 16band EQ L/R independant where really want to sacrifice the ability to go active, for a bluetooth setup, just strap it on and get the 980bt. you may think the color screen looks cheap but it doesnt. in fact it looks great, and there is a ton of things you can do to it, including change the color of the font. so if you really want, you can make all the text and background white or blue and has pretty much the exact same look as the 880prs or the 790bt. hope this clears shit up.

Consider also the 790 vs the 7900 and the 980 vs the 9800.. The premier stuff is typically a little better in some respects.

If a year longer warranty means a little better. To the OP you seem to be new to car audio so i think the 880 is going to have alot of features you wont really use. The 980bt screen is actually really nice, you can make custom background with pictures of whatever you want, i also believe it has a mode to turn off the fancy display letting you just have something simple

Yes, I am a noob, but I still want a deck that will put out good SQ. Doesnt just having the burr brown allow it to produce better SW w/o adjustments?

the 980 or 9800 is actually over my budget. I Believe they are about 100 dollars more than the 880 or the 790. My budget is 300.

Yeah.. very subtle.. pretty much the same units.. but inclusion of some things like "iBus" iPod cables or the auto-calibration mike for auto-tuning I guess in the case of some between premier and pioneer. I thought maybe some feature enhancement upgrades in some. ?? eh

I guess "Premier" is just their "custom installer channel" products rather than the usual retailers. Typically no web-sales for Premier stuff that's pioneer authorized.

The nice nice thing about the 980 / 9800 is bluetooth handsfree.. plus about 80% of the SQ features of the 880. No quick box addon for the 880 for bluetooth.. if that's a big deal.

I know the 980 and 9800 are both very nice units with a combo of the 7900 and the 880, but they are both out of my price range.

The only reason I'm even considering the 7900 is because of the bluetooth handsfree option. Seems like a cool deal. that is I kinda like the look of the 7900.

Both are in the same price range and seems like the 880 is much better in terms of function and SQ.

The more I look at the 880, the more I Like it. Looks really clean. The display doesn't seem to look as nice as the 7900 though.
