I don't have a trunk, I'm in a single cab Ranger. Can anyone else confirm this?

I never got any noise from my HX2's when I had them inverted. And as long as you have both inverted you do not have to reverse the phase. Give them a try and then switch them if you don't like it. But you will lose some displacement.
