I am in the final planning stages for my new build and had a question. I have a custom made sealed enclosure for two 12" subs. There are two chambers. The box is made out of 3/4" MDF. For increased strength I fiber glassed the inside of each chamber with about 1/4" of thickness. Because space was at a premium and I will have only about 1.5 cubic feet of space per chamber, I was thinking about inverting the subs to give me the most free space possible. I also like the look of it, the subs structure and huge magnets are sexy as hell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Is there any loss of sound quality inverting the subs? It sould give me much more volume in each chamber if I do. This is a SQ build which is why I went with the sealed enclosures in the first place.
Power is not an issue because I will be running TWO Kicker zx1500.1 amps going to the two 12" Hypnotic subs.
As always I value any input you have on this subject.
