what are these called?

So pretty, your work always seems so flawless, what do you do to keep it so flawless. It's like a robot cutting all the pieces and attaching it together, no mistakes at all. Looks sick! I like the plexi logo on top.
Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Basically, it just comes down to a lot of practice and patience.

The are called threaded wood inserts IIRC. They are much better than T-Nuts in my opinion. I always have bad luck with T Nuts not staying in the wood. These things work so awesome.

Humm, threaded wood inserts, dont have to go all the way through the baffle like a T-nut, therefore will stay airtight. Good to bring a great idea to light //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif. Thanks guys.

FatTony, yep thats the finished product. He actually had be add a second panel to the back. He is mounting a large amp back there and wanted the extra strength, but no carpet on this one.

Thanks Meade... LOL, if you ever need a box, hit me up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Good to see you back PV.

BigBang, Chris actually gave me the idea to use these, too bad I cant take credit, but yes, they work awesome.

Dleccord, I have purchased them at Lowes before I believe, so you should be able to find them almost anywhere.

I have used threaded wood inserts before, mine were made of brass though, came from Ace Hardware. They were through-bolt...Might consider some non permanent thread lock compound if your worried about air. Will help keep bolts from loosening with vibrations over time. I like them better than t-nuts also.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

They were just like those, but different!

I'm not impressed.........NOT!!

Looks great.. I was wondering if the "port inserts" rattled because they were off the bottom of the box a bit?

How did you seal the "port insert" to the box?
