Integrating Sony Head Unit with Ford Maverick Sync System

I have a Ford Maverick with the basic Sync system. It's very quirky and somewhat unreliable. I purchased a Sony head unit, sub, and amp. I am goiug to connect the Sony to the amp with high level inputs. Can I leave the Sync unit connected with the front speaker input. I still need it for the truck warning chimes and my bluetoothed phone. If I connect the Sync also, will it cause a loss in audio quality? The Sync radio will always be off, and just be needed for vehicle chimes and anytime I use the phone.

Could you clarify your question a bit? It seems there may be a typo relating to your audio equipment.

It's very quirky. Things randomly don't work or very slow at responding. I plan on only using it for the vehicle warning chimes and my phone.

Do you use the phone to stream music through the SYNC? If yes, is this the application that is unreliable?
If that is the case, you can use an inline FM BT reciever to stream music through the FM band. I do not know if your radio has an AUX input but you could also use a BT dongle to stream through it.
