What exactly are you suggesting using the insulation for?

honestly im bored and feel like doing something to my car. and it in a 97 intrepid in the stock door mount where the old speakers were.
So random modifications to your car, to kill the time? How about stapling dirty socks to the headliner? Or painting the inside of your radiator? Installing a toilet?
I'll ask again... what exactly are you planning on doing with this insulation?

Try using closed cell foam instead, it probably a better suited product for what you're wanting to do. The pink insulation crap in your attic will probably absorb water, and eventually get moldy and smelly, not good. Closed cell foam by design does not absorb water, and will help reduce road noise, as well as absorb some standing waves.

Supposedly it helps clean up the midrange a bit, I've got some in my doors, but I didn't do an a/b test to confirm this, but I really don't see a reason not to, it's one of those "it couldn't hurt" type of mods.

Although I would recommend that you sound deaden your doors prior to this, you'll probably see a greater improvement from doing that than just adding foam.
