Installment Issues and Need some advice....

Hey guys whats up I finally Got my radio and all I needed for Install.

Radio: Pioneer 4100 NEX

Interface: PAC C2R-CHY4

Truck: 06 WK Jeep (grand Cherokee)

Stock Radio: Single Din, Stock Non Navigation, but Has SW Controls

Audio: Boston Acustics System with Amp

I bought the Interface off the bay used, guy said it worked. So I bought it, but it had the Navigation Harness Tail and not the Non, SO I took the Harness I got with my Nav Bezel and Connected it to the Factory Harness. I connected everything VIA PAC Manual and I got Nothing. No power at all..

So I got my Tester and It was showing that The Ground was good and the Power side, 2 yellows for Constant 12V was giving me a Red. Meaning sumthing was wrong on those 2 lines. Then I took out my DMM and it was reading 11.7V on each Line. Not sure what is going on here.

The Red Wire for 12V with Key on was reading .5V So I dont know whats up there either.

All fuses are good I have replaced and check them all.

Do you guys have any Ideas?? I would like to finish before we get nailed with this Rain storm.

you guys can text/call at 516-308-2504 My name is Chris. Thank you very much

UPDATE:

So I got her WOrking, Well not quite full potential. Now I have NO Audio. Not sure why. Im guessing that the amp is not turning on?

Does anyone know what color the LED Should be in the PAC module?

also the Remote wire, blue wire for amp turn on, it needs 12v? Correct?

not familiar with the pac, but the blue wire should be getting somewhere between 11 and 13v from the headunit or the amp wont turn on. you can run a small jumper from the positive input to the remote if you want to check if the amp will turn on.

You'll have to connect into the blue wire on the PAC Chrysler harness it turns on the Infinity Amp

I dont have a blue wire on the harness. So im not sure where to put it, I had it connected to a constant 12v yellow and it was getting 12v +

but still had no sound.

When you say jumper meaning on back of deck? Im not sure if I can run a jumper because of me using a Interface

A jumper directly from your amps positive to your remote turn on, be careful to not short anything of course but that should tell you that your amp is working and that there's an issue with your remote turn on wire

Thanks But I figured it out. It was all Wired In correctly VIA the schematic from PAC. I went ahead and searched the Back web for some more Pioneer Schematics and found what I needed.

Just took the Wire harness I had, wired it up to the wires I know now were correct, spliced up the CAN-BUS and the Interface.

Bamn we had power, and now we had Sound!!!

But now I am having issues with the Head Unit, as I cannot do a Firmware Update, as that selection isnt Highlighted or lit up, And also I am having issues with Blue tooth. This radio can only Store UPTO 3 phones, and it *****. Also the Bluetooth Button, Does not Light up or Highlight, so I can access the Settings, Delete the Memory and all.

Will Be calling them later, I just had surgery for appendicitis and am in alot of pain.

Most pioneer decks have an advance menu that can only be accessed when the power is turned off....I hope you get to feeling better

adv menu? Like?????? hehehe

And hopefully Pioneer can help, Radio was purchased off the Bay for a Very Very low price. It looked Brand New, Never Installed. Was Missing Wire Harness, and the USB wires. So I jumped On it, and then Bought Harness and it worked. Then I installed in a couple weeks later when I got all the parts. And now running Into these 2 Issues. SO I just hope it isnt a Faulty Radio Deck.

another thing is you may have to press the reset button and start over ...Ive had to do that with decks that had glitches and it fixed them ...

Ok will try that Also thanks mate.

Have a Buddy coming over in a few to Put on my Headers, So cant wait for them to go on. Dman Manifolds leaking like a B*tch !! Then Ill play with the radio some

What do you recommend for a Amp Wire Kit? I Am gunna run a 4 Chann JVC Amp for right now. So I was thinking 4G wire for power n Ground??

I do have some Monster 2 Channel RCA's From Many years ago. Not sure how much the wire game has changed.....

Will Also Need Speaker Wire. For all 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.

Thanks mate for your Kind help, and Congrats on your record! I was pushing 137.8 DB's In a 1993 Toyota Celica with Custom Ported Box with 2 12"s And 1 PG Mps 2500

4g should be fine...just pull your ground to the frame ...the last show I went to a couple of months ago in my 89 Ford probe it did a 149.8 on 4 DD1508s in a daily box I designed...not too bad on 8" subs...Im getting ready to put 4 10s in it ....hopefully within the next week or two...

ok, Do you recommend me get a AMP wire Kit? Or Piece it all out seperately?

And that is pretty sick on some 8" subs, Cant say I did that or would use 8" haha

To make it lightup or highlight, try pushing in your emergency brake and see if that does the trick...
