installing subs into a ported - quick question!

Just as long as the wires are mechincally anchored in some manner to conduct voltage/current properly per required surface area of the wire material.
Ok thank you. I've never seen inside of a box since all the installation was done for me and i'm trying to do stuff by myself now. just trying to make sure of everything before i mess stuff up.

are you all high? Only time I have ever used a soldering iron on a speaker is when I'm reconing a sub.
oh, and remove the fact that you have a capicitor in your sig. It just makes you look like a retard.
Dude, he's repping Sony xplods and has a "1200w" speaker amp, let him be :p

And the only one making it difficult is you OP. Run wires from the terminals on the sub, to the terminals on the amp. You can do this by drilling a pair of holes in the box, or connecting to a terminal cup, whichever is provided with your enclosure. And just for the sake of asking, where did you buy this ported enclosure?

No need to get but hurt trust me what's in my sig is some hard core. Loud azz bass. Check around I've got the 2nd loudest street c car on the west coast. And the only street c truck in the us. We are just trying to give some friendly advice because we all have been there and done that. I could give a sh.t about your sig or cap. And as far as your box build one done get a prefab box most company's that makes them don't do a good job. It's not that hard and people on here can help you

i honestly don't know why people have to fuss over my sig. yeah it's sony xplod, yeah i listed a cap. do you guys lose sleep over it or something?

it's a prefabed box like my sealed box...from my friend who no longer needs it. yes yes it's not custom and tuned and all that jazz but works for me. unless you guys wanna drive down here and build me one it's good enough for me.

i know the wires clamp down outside of the box so you guys are saying it's pretty much the same inside.

The only reason i said he may have to solder is because i have had terminals like this before

Naw, no sleep lost, just a huge waste of cash on your part.

I don't know what else to say about connecting the cable to the subwoofer? Maybe if you snapped a pic of it for us? Connect the wires to the subs the same way you connected the wires to your speakers in your doors.

Have you never looked at your sub to see how to connect it? You have the easiest thing, it's a spring loaded push pin. press button on, put wire in hole, release pressure on button. Run wire to the amp. Listen to peaky sub performance.

Looking nice and sounding good are two different things completely...
it's built better than mine so it's not gonna make things worse. i like car audio but i'm pretty sure my standards aren't high as any of you guys to be honest...my number one interests are my r6 and is-f's performance. my car audio set up sounds super basic but i actually think it's good enough....the real music for me is from the exhaust pipes =]
