installing subs into a ported - quick question!

I was referring mostly to the capacitor, utter waste of space and money.As for the enclosure, if it's a prefab, sealed would be the way to go. You'll tend to have a more even and flat response over a wider range of frequencies.
Only thing I paid for were the subs, sealed box, and 4 chan amp, power/speaker wiring, which i got a very good deal on. Everything else was free.

 
ok.....first thing is first u do not need to disconnect ur battery when disconnecting subs....at the most what u should do is just remove the inline fuse if u are that paranoid about ****** something up with ur subs....when disconnecting amps you should disconnect the battery completely...

secondly wtf are u talking about soldering? all u do is take the subs out of the box remove the speaker wire then look at a wiring diagram of JL audio under support or Rockford under Wiring Wizard and it will show u how to rewire the subs to the correct load

this is a shittty video by rob dyrdek but it should help explain a little bit
