Installed new sound and now my car has no power completely?

Hi guyz, I recently bought 900 watt sub, 2000 watt amp, 6x9s and tweeters and installed it on my 1979 beetle. What brand and model number of equipment? Try taking the positive wire from your battery and run it to the engine block, see if that should fix things...

This is not recommended. The VW engine case is made of magnesium. If you spark it with your battery cable.... it will catch fire and there is no way to extinguish a magnesium fire.

copious amounts of water. It will spark like a MFr and be a pretty show, but a sh!t load of H2O will put it out. You can try this, but make sure you have a 2 1/2" hoseline available. Maybe you can have your local Fire Dept standby while you try this out.
