Installed New Pioneer P8MP, no sound?

Just installed my New Pioneer P8MP in my 02 tahoe but im getting no sound through any speakers on the radio or with a cd. I went to local shop got the correct harness, soldered everything up and it powers up and all but nothing. any ideas? is there a setting i have to turn on? the HU has a switch thats default on 40w x4 max, and you can change it to 60w x4 max but i didnt touch that. My truck does not have bose or onstar, ive done many decks i feel like its just a stupid setting or something. Anyone have experience with this deck? i tryed hitting the reset button on the deck, also turning it fully off and holding function down and there was no settings about an internal amp
