Would the fact that the speaker is inverted change how it sounds at all? Is 1.5 ft^3 about the right amount of space for one of these?

The AQ is breaking in fast, and is so much louder now. It gets so low, and the high notes are loud now too.

I bought my amp to give my old substage more power, then I decided to upgrade the substage. The original plan was the fit it behind the seat (regular cab mid-size truck), but before installing I instead got the idea to invert it. It's going to go in normally though, I don't live in an area where I'd feel comfortable making it visible like this.

If I would have thought of inverting it in the first place and leaving it like that, I would have gotten something way bigger and more powerful. I think about that from time to time, but then I remember that 1. I don't want to worry about my car being broken into for having it out like that, 2. I don't have the power to run anything more powerful, 3. I couldn't afford a new amp and the electrical to run it, and 4. But if I'm planning on upgrading again, instead of putting in a bigger sub I'll just do a blowthrough. Save myself the trouble AND make it louder than it would ever be, just in the cab.

yeah i mean if i had cought it for a 100 i would have done it. esp when this hdc3 cost me almost 300 (290). but i mean it is deff worth the money

I might have missed it but which way is your port firing? Messing with different boxes and port firing directions could make it louder.

I love my sdc 10. in 1.3 plus port 25 sq inched tuned to 38. it is an all around great sounding sub.I only had 275 waatts on it and I had some flex goin on. Got a new amp now so we will see how it does with a little more juice. Keep that aq and get the 12s out of there. I may upgrade to 2 sdc's. i put out a thread about wanting to buy on and got very little interest. maybe i will try again. It will stay tight like that,may loosen a little,but not much. well built subs.
