i thought you installed your amp in your uncles truck and it did it? That would mean it did it on another h/u...but then it would be impossible.
anyway, find a dmm to use.
test the dc voltage at the amps terminals.
test the dc voltage at your turn on lead with the amp on.
test your rca's ac voltage with the h/u playing a sinewave and turned almost all the way up(should be in line with the 2v rating). Just be careful about what your other speakers are doing.
positive there aren't any settings that you might be messing with?
