honestly i don't see any reason that it wouldn't be your amp.

if it still didn't work right in someone else's vehicle on different subs, especially.

maybe pull the cover and see if anything is visibly loose, as long as it won't void warranty and you don't randomly stab things when you see intricate stuff.

if it worked once then didn't the second time, that leads me to believe something its jigglin

And for prevention of ground-noise whining, make sure you run the RCA's away from the power wires instead of running them all together.

the amp did work with your uncle's subs. If there's a loose component in the amp (which might be the case, since it was shipped from here to there) then it'll be a funky coincidence that that part comes loose right when you switch subs.

Okay Ill see about tryin my Subs on another amp asap.. I know the HU isnt great.. how would an equlizer and linedriver help? Man imma be pissed if that amp is messed up.. maybe its an easy fix but I dont know shit about amp internals.. I already got interest in my HU is if IS the prob.. so selling should be easy

yea It had me thrown for a loop.. It sounded like the heavens opened up when I 1st put it on his subs! it was great.. then we switched subs and it was ***!! then we put his subs back in and it was ***.. like same RE *** that i had been hearing! then his amp put everything back in proportion.. His 1200 watt MA is a stout lil amp actually.. It has impressed me

even though the amp is not mine (well, not anymore) i would be unhappy for it to be the problem, too. that is one fine amp. I've only got to use it once, and that was just to purposely blow my defective RSD10. did it easily too. Might've been damage during shipping.

alriiight well.. I borrowed my uncle's amp.. and well it barely did anything at all on my subs.. heard better bass from tweeters!! So i put mine back in and at least its not rattling anymore.. its not loud by any means.. bout the same level of bass.. Im really thinkin its the H/U now!

I dont just wanna scrap the screen.. It got nice clarity and I saved for months.. Cant I just do an Equilizer? and a Linedriver for better Voltage?.. Im sayin the HU is the prob.. My system sounds like there is something you can turn up or something for tha bass. It feels like something is missing.. My G/Fs 3 Sealed FUBR 10's on a 1606D and Dual HU is raping my sysem.. I could have my setup 2 times over and not be as loud as her.. thats dissaopinting

Can someone point me in the direction of a nice In dash with all the fixings for cheap?

My 1st options are

1) keep current and add EQ and/or Linedriver

2) sell and get Pioneer cd/mp3 player w/out screen

3) sell and get higher quality screen

4) Sell all and get complete new setup

its normally the most simple solution...

...hate to sound really nooby, but did you check simple things?

1) Did you flip your wires around? try running it a different way (parellel vs. series)

2) You do have your filter on your amp on right? I accidentally ran my sub full range when i first got it all hooked up...sounded like complete dick. Also, you do have the right filter on? i mean if you blocking out all the bass...

3) Did you contact RE? I mean, they made the subs, they might be able to help.

Try and stop thinking of the little things at look back at the big picture. Does anything seem funny to you?

I re-installed everything.. box subs amp and as far as I can see all is right.. Its all filtered right.. Im really entertaining selling it all! I mean all!!

but lets continue to troubleshoot until that

so lets step back here.

Have you:

Tried your subs with:

Different Wiring? (RCA?)

Different Box?

Different Amp?

Different HU?

You first have to isolate your problem, change one variable at a time. Try and use your (whoever helped you) friends amp in your system. Then put your amp back in if it makes no difference. Change the RCA's then. See if their is any difference. Put your sub (and if you can) your box into his setup so you can use his HU. Any difference? Change the boxes.

If at all possible, try and use 1 sub only. then use the other.

Isolation is key because their are so many variables, it just gets overwhelming.
