where i took mine, they charged ~100.

depends if you bought from them or not...some shops won't even do it if you didn't buy it from them

We will not do them unless the customer buys from us. Not because we are trying to sell our brand, but because of all the buddy ones sold on ebay and at wal-mart that are DOA or just plain sh*itty. When it comes to alarms and remote starts an uneducated consumer can really get screwed sometimes.
