A friend of my dad is wanting me to install a radio and replace the factory speakers in a 92 Chevy pickup. He wants to know what I would charge for installation only. He would supply all the stuff. (adapter kit, wiring harness, radio and speakers.) I have no idea what the going rate is. Help me out. I don't want to get screwed but I also don't want to be accused of screwing him. Help me out. Thanks!

I'd do it for like a 12-pack. IIRC that year of truck wasn't hard.
not hard at all. the tuner is under the dash. fish wire harness and ant up to the center of the dash.... but for a basic install like a new jeep or new silarado it's a little bit more time consumeing...

and id take loot over brew anyday.

i would charge about 100

but if the truck is an extended cab the rear speakers are a pain you have to take off the panel that runs accros the headliner

when i went to a shop for them to do mine they wouldnt becaue they were afraid of breaking that piece and having to replace it

so depending on the speaker placement i would charge around 100
